Looking for entry level laborer / asbestos abatement workers

Please note this is for a permanent position only. We are not offering per diem nor are we offering travel pay at this time. Local residents only.

40 hours a week minimum with potential for lots of overtime during special projects and shut downs

Description of Essential Duties

• Follow all company and refinery policies and procedures.
• Properly remove asbestos containing material from piping, vessels and or structures.
• Must be able to participate in the erection of a full containment in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Cooperates with Supervisor, Project Manager and customer in carrying out assigned work.
• Assist in loading, unloading storage of equipment and supplies.
• At all times perform work in the safest possible manner. Immediately use your stop work authority if conditions become unsafe and report them to the supervisor.'
• Effectively communicate with crew members and supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite free from any unnecessary hazards associated with the work being performed.
• Participate in the Job Safety Planning (JSP) process
• Perform all assigned duties on a jobsite, as directed by supervision.

Qualification Requirements

• Must be able to obtain a T.W.I.C. card for entry into facility.
• Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Basic oral communication skills are required

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk and/or hear, and/or use hands and fingers to handle or touch objects and or hand tools. The employee is frequently required to stand, and/or walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move and/or pull up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

The employee must be available at non-traditional hours to complete projects according to contract or job requirements.

The employee regularly works in high, precarious places, is potentially exposed to fumes, airborne particles, dust, non-weather heat, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is also regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions and may work in varying degrees of confined space. The noise level is usually moderate, but may be loud at certain times while working at construction job sites. There may be work related travel.

Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
