Position Summary:

The LAN Analyst I is responsible for building and maintaining the network services within the Rockline Booneville facility. This position is tasked with ensuring that stability, security, and productivity of the data and voice network infrastructures. To be able to perform a variety of LAN/WAN administration and support initiatives focused on the PC/LAN infrastructure. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintenance of existing data communication systems. Assist with design and implementation of new systems and components. Work independently as well as a team member on various projects.

As a LAN Analyst, you will:

• Be responsible for the daily operations and functionality of all computer hardware and related peripherals (printers, copiers, phones, scan guns etc), security cameras, LAN/WAN network, telecommunications system (phones, PA, radios), and enterprise servers residing in the Rockline Booneville & Russellville location.
• Establish and maintain system security and business recovery methods and planning.
• Expected to develop skills in the management of all phases of a technical infrastructure project.
• Work with the business community alongside other IT department staff, to analyze and review/produce technical specifications for any new applications or changes to existing applications.
• Champion the development of training programs to ensure Rockline associates are knowledgeable in the use of Rockline deployed telecommunication and network resources.
• Assist in the development and use of sound testing and change management practices within the Rockline IT department.
• Strive for subject matter expertise in the network hardware (LAN/WAN), server operating systems, cloud system, email system, telecommunication services implemented – both current and future release functionality. Must provide a forward-thinking vision.

Do You Have What it Takes?:
(Position Requirements)

• Associates Degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 4 years of experience in support of the network function required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is preferred.
• Working knowledge with Intel based server platforms – preference in VMware and Nutanix HVA virtual server and current Windows OS environments.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Experience designing, administrating, and maintaining LAN/WAN hardware, cabling, and related systems such as switches, routers, firewall, IP Phone technologies, and wireless network systems.
• Thorough understanding of common networking protocols (from layer 1 to 4) and network concepts (firewall, VLANs, VPN, MPLS, TCP-IP, DNS, etc.).
• Experience with current Microsoft PC and server operating systems as well as Microsoft Exchange Email system.
• Due to the 24/7 operations of the business, must be flexible with the ability to be on a rotating on-call schedule.
