Kalthia Group Hotels is looking for a Laundry Assistant to join the team at our Springhill Suites by Marriott in Palm Desert. They will be responsible for washing, drying and folding of the hotel linen.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Adhere to Company's guidelines to ensure the health, safety and comfort of our team members and guests.
• Utilize Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and in accordance with property specific guidelines
• Sort linens for washing.
• Check for stains and treat appropriately.
• Wash, dry, fold linen.
• Run linen and deliver as requested.
• Store linen in appropriate location.
• Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Report any missing/found articles or damage to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Assist with room attendant duties as needed.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Laundry: 1 year (Preferred)
