Title:LCV NORTHCOM NTC: Project Manager
Serves as a Project Manager at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California for the LOGCAP Program. This position has overall responsibility for all LOGCAP provided services at the National Training Center to include multiple equipment maintenance nodes, fueling operations, ammunition supply point, property book office, and warehousing locations (Supply Support Activity). The Project Manager will work closely with supervisors and other staff to ensure equipment maintenance, warehousing activities, fueling, and property accountability functions are performed to standards and codes required by the LOGCAP contract.
Under direct supervision of the LOGCAP NORTHCOM Task Order Manager, this position has responsibility for the financial and technical success of the project. Has responsibility for all phases of project planning, execution, and close out activities of a large-sized (typically less than $200 million total costs) domestic project. Responsibilities include project setup and subcontracting strategy, contract changes, subcontractor relations, and all required reporting. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company and LOGCAP Program. Has responsibility for day to day contact and communication with the client and customer. Possesses knowledge of the respective industry. Supervises personnel assigned to the project through subordinate leaders.
The Project Manager will also maintain currency on all operational issues and analyze operational performance and performance indicators, affecting KBR’s contractual performance supporting the National Training Center. Coordinates with the Program Management Office (PMO) for information and reports; and supports and reports to the NORTHCOM Task Order Manager in the performance of responsibilities. Must be a highly organized self-starter capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-discipline team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve goals.
Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for all LOGCAP services, operations, and equipment maintenance provided at the National Training Center.
Manages a workforce of less than 1,000 direct hires and subcontracted employees.
Provides clear direction to employees regarding compliance with company, customer, and local area of responsibility standards of conduct.
Instills a culture of continuous process improvement and high performance; and ensure that health, morale and welfare requirements are met.
Reviews and makes recommendations concerning daily operations.
Works under the direct supervision of the NORTHCOM Task Order Manager.
Attends meetings with the Task Order Manager.
Performs actions to ensure the NORTHCOM Task Order Manager and Program Management Office (PMO) has timely, accurate, and relevant information pertaining to project’s activities.
Ability to professionally represent the program when meeting with customers and clients.
Various other duties as assigned.
Master’s Degree is preferred from an accredited College or University in Business Administration or Management
Fifteen (15) years of progressive responsible management and leadership experience in military tactical and logistics related fields preferred
Advanced knowledge of military equipment maintenance programs to include equipment maintenance and component repair and return to operations
Prior military service or significant experience working closely with U.S. military customers a plus
Prior experience managing 500+ employees
Previous experience in base support management
Project management skills, including forward thinking, leadership, accountability, flexibility, focus under pressure and respect for diverse perspectives a
plus
Must be able to obtain and hold a Secret Level clearance
Experience working with a union workforce preferred
Must be capable of working professionally and building positive working relationships with internal and external entities
Additional requirements:
Must be fluent in English
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
Must be able to travel internationally to austere locations for extended periods and meet KBR and Government mandated pre-deployment requirements including but not limited to: drug screening, medical screening, dental release, and criminal background check
General understanding of LOGCAP concept of operations to include Performance Work Statement (PWS) and associated technical exhibits
