Job description

Our restaurant is looking for an experienced Lead Cook in our kitchen. You will oversee the kitchen staff and make sure that the restaurant runs smoothly through each service. Throughout your shift, you will delegate tasks to staff, from food preparation to wiping down the work surfaces with disinfectant after service. Our ideal applicant has a culinary degree or extensive professional chef experience, superb knife skills, and a food handler's card. Our cook works the line with the staff to ensure ticket times are appropriate and recipes are being followed. Inventory control is appropriate and it will be your job to create weekly orders necessary to create menu items.

Lead Cook Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee food preparation in the restaurant
• Help coordinate kitchen staff schedules
• Stock work stations with supplies and tools
• Delegate cleaning and preparation tasks
• Train and evaluate BOH staff members

Lead Cook Requirements and Qualifications

• Degree in culinary arts preferred
• Several years of professional cooking experience
• Experience in lower-level kitchen positions.
• Current ServSafe certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,200.00 per week
