Job Description:

Job Summary:

Provide efficient and friendly services to students, faculty and staff members. Support the effective operations of the Seattle site. Assist with general office duties and tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional and friendly front desk service and general office assistance to CityU students, staff, faculty and the general public.
  • Report issues related to effective classroom and site operations, student and faculty services, security and safety.
  • Ensure classrooms are open on time, stocked with supplies, and audio-visual equipment is available and set-up as scheduled or requested.
  • Assist the Department head in creating and maintaining the quarterly master classroom schedule.
  • Assist with campus ID card creation and maintenance.
  • Provide exam proctoring services when needed.
  • Perform duties of Floor captain as outlined in University's Campus Safety and Accident Prevention plan.
  • Assist the Department head with the coaching and training of students assistants.
  • Operate basic office machinery, such as multi-function printer, postage meter, etc.
  • Assist with special projects or tasks requested by other departments.
  • Report to other sites in the Puget Sound area when needed for coverage.


Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of customer service, organizational ability and attention to detail.
  • Must demonstrate trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform job duties with minimum supervision, prioritize and complete work according to prescribed deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read, comprehend and write simple procedures, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations to a diverse group of students, staff, faculty and the general public.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Must have reliable transportation as on-time arrival for scheduled shift is essential to this position.

Salary information:

$40,000 - $42,000/year DOE
