Optum Store (https://store.optum.com) is part of Optum's new Direct-to-Consumer group which sits at the intersection of health care and retail, curating product offerings through a virtual marketplace that provides consumers with more affordable access to care. To build those products, we are looking for a strong engineer who embodies our team values of Always be shipping, Outcome Obsession, Constant Vigilance (against threats and downtime), Simplification (of our technology landscape), and Software as a Team Sport. In this role, you will interact with multiple stakeholders and deal with significant complexity and ambiguity.

Your role will be to influence and implement the technology strategy for RVO Health delivery teams. You will design and code solutions to meet program needs. Those solutions should follow best practices around reusability, security, and decoupled component design. You will Influence org behaviors, by actively mentoring team members primarily in 1:1 and small group sessions through code reviews, brown bags, tech talks, and design reviews. You will partner with delivery teams outside the direct-to-consumer org to uphold and negotiate common standards. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will partner with business delivery leadership to conceptualize solutions that meet their complex needs. Your results will be a primary contributor to achieving RVO Health's long-term strategic goals.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, maintain, and improve software
• Translate product concepts into project commitments that deliver incremental value to our customers frequently
• Engineer solutions that follow best practices around reusability, security, and decoupled component design
• Actively mentor the team members primarily in 1:1 and small group sessions, through code reviews, brown bags, tech talks, and design reviews.
• Evangelize and uphold our engineering values of Always be shipping, Outcome Obsession, Constant Vigilance (against threats and downtime), Simplification (of our technology landscape), and Software as a Team Sport
• Willingness to quickly learn new platforms, languages, and tools

• 5+ years of coding experience with one or more of the following languages JavaScript, Java, .NET Core, or Python
• 1+ year experience working with CI/CD tools
• Demonstrated experience with engineering fundamentals including unit testing, code reviews, telemetry, agile, and DevOps
• Demonstrated experience using REST API development, IaC, public/private cloud, application observability, and/or messaging / stream architecture
• Demonstrated experience delivering applications using componentized and distributed architectures

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

• Starting Salary: $97,300 - $162,700*
