The Lead Senior Camera Operator manages one or more photocopying, photographic, mimeograph, and duplicating office machines to make copies of documents such as letters, reports, directives, manuals, articles, and bulletins. Additional responsibilities include: operating small binding machines, performing clerical duties associated with the request for printing and photographic services, preparing assembly sheets, printing requisitions with specifications for printing and binding, recording, delivering, and collecting work. The Duplicating Machine Operator performs minor repairs preventive maintenance and maintains an inventory of supplies and reproduction equipment paying particular attention to important variables indicated by the trade name of the machine (WDR Summary 01090).

Responsible for processing and controlling information and the reproduction of classified materials. Responsible for operation and maintenance of Richo1100,1357,c900,c720 series, micro-press T7500 series.

  • Responsible for following Standard Operating Procedures for the reproduction and control of classified materials. Ensures that these procedures are reviewed and followed each time classified documents are reproduced.
  • Receives requisitions and processes according to compatibility factors such as quantity, dimensions, or material maximizing material utilization and minimizing machine setup and operation.
  • Programs correct information to retrieve stored parts, data, and graphic displays; manipulates same into optimal arrangements; calculates and codes system controls; enters and stores source files; transfers nest data, listings, and layouts to other media or links to Networking system.
  • Performs maintenance and/or makes technical service requests.
  • Responsible for working with a positive team spirit and producing quality work.
  • Responsible for appropriate conduct and demeanor as dictated by Didlake Policy.
  • Responsible for following safety standards and guidelines in the proper use of the equipment and other activities.
  • Serves as primary back-up to Copy Center Supervisor.
  • Completes and maintains all Didlake required training.

Requirements:

Education:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 5 years prior experience in the operation of duplication equipment, medium-size presses, and multi-color work, especially micro-press.
  • Must possess strong communication skills including the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; to write routine reports and correspondence, and to present information to customers and employees.
  • Must also project a positive and professional image to the public, co-workers, and Didlake clients.
