Job description
We are looking for certified, experienced elementary-school teachers to work in an innovative Reggio Emilia-inspired school in the Houston Heights that focuses on growing lifelong learners, critical thinkers and confident beings who enjoy the inquiry process and collaboration with others. Our small, closeknit school serves Bridge Kindergarten through 5th Grade within 4 multiage classrooms. Our aim is to provide authentic, meaningful, real world experiences to make learning relevant and support students to learn curriculum standards through their personal interests and curiosities. Members of our staff will collaborate with each other to create a supportive learning environment for all students. Learning groups are foundational to our school concept; teachers are expected to provide creative, differentiated instruction in groups and one-on-one, as needed, across all subjects. In addition to teaching students, duties include collaboration with staff on individual, class and school-wide projects, creating positive partnerships with parents, working with students during club periods and prioritizing the excitement, passion and wonder of our students. *Responsibilities:* Below are some of the responsibilities a teacher is expected to assume in their position: * Creating developmentally appropriate, educational, open-ended, interest-based activities and lesson plans for multiage classrooms that align with the TEKS * Assessing students to provide responsive, differeniated one-on-one and group lessons across all subject areas, which includes adapting learning styles, materials, environments * Using Reggio Emilia-inspired documentation to demonstrate, assess and reflect upon students' learning; this documentation should inform lesson planning and provide constructive feedback to students and their parents * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills * Help in daily morning and afternoon carline drop off/pick up * Actively participate in weekly collaborative faculty meetings * Ideally, our staff is interested in planning and teaching at our summer camp

Pay: $49,669.00 - $53,754.00 per year
