We are currently seeking to fill a Sr. Collector position.

We are currently seeking to fill a Sr. Collector position.
Responsible for the collections of assigned past due accounts generally greater than 60 days delinquent or materially larger balance sizes. Resolve all administrative or other issues to resolve the delinquency at the root cause. The majority of contact is done through the telephone and mail. Responsible for arranging repossessions, assist/support remarketing of equipment, qualifying and preparing files for litigation, skip search, managing special correspondence and other tasks as necessary. Perform workout in pursuit of mitigating or minimizing losses.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Pursue resolution of severe delinquent or complex workout cases via telephone to secure payment or minimize loss.
2. Process file preparation for escalation of actions (legal referral, skip tracing, repossessions, etc.)
3. Resolve disputes that result in payment or resolution of the past due status
4. Ensure compliance to LEAF’s 61+ day treatment tracks are executed
5. Basic knowledge of UCC and assessing risk.
6. Ability to comfortably engage in settlement negotiations with customers, attorneys, or LEAF’s assigned collections agencies and attorneys.
7. Ability to risk assess customer’s capacity to pay and the impact of settlement amounts on LEAF’s losses as well as accounting treatment track when engaged in settlement negotiations.
8. Perform other duties or projects as assigned by management.

Job Requirements :
- At least five years experience of collections experiences with at least 2 in workout/recovery.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to problem-solve.
- Able to learn new computer and software programs with ease.
- Ability to interact with all levels within the organization especially department heads and Senior Management professionally.
- Team player.
- Commercial Equipment financing experience preferred.
- College a plus.
