Job Title: Lease Operator - Injection Well Testing

J ob Duties:

• Operates, monitors and maintains lease wells and production facilities to maximize oil and gas sales and control lease operating expenses.
• Operates and inspects pumping and wellhead equipment to ensure proper operation, and recover maximum production.
• Utilize SCADA equipment for well surveillance to optimize production and prevent spills.
• Interact with Artificial Lift Techs to optimize equipment and well performance.
• Uses in-depth knowledge and understanding to properly operate and maintain electrical panels, gas engines, testers, phase separators, water knock outs, heaters and stock tanks, and all other onsite wellhead equipment and compressors.
• Performs routine maintenance of production equipment, including checking fluid levels of pump jacks, wellhead engines and wellhead compressors, dump valves, meters, gauges and other tank battery equipment.
• Acknowledge and respond to alarms associated with equipment as needed
• Conduct daily surveillance of artificial lift systems including ESP and gas lift.
• Detects oil, water or gas leaks, and broken seals on tank valves; may monitor work of others, to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Non-scheduled callouts outside normal business hours can be expected
• Job is to be performed employing safe work practices while utilizing acceptable environmental procedures to maximize earnings while minimizing costs on assigned oil and gas producing properties
• Test, calibrate and troubleshoot equipment and mechanical problems
• Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and regulatory agencies
• General housekeeping and field maintenance

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
• Walking, bending, stooping is required

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of oil & gas production operations experience specific to Lease Operating/Pumping; Injection Well Testing experience preferred
• Candidates must reside in Denver City, Seminole, TX and Hobbs, NM highly preferred
• Strong Computer Skills
• High School Grad or GED equivalent. Some college or technical training preferred
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass all conditional job offer requirements including: background, drug screen, hair follicle, MVR, Agility, Fit for Duty
