Title: Leasing Agent
Location: 2621 Church Street East Point, GA 30344 & 806 Murphy Ave SW Atlanta, GA 30310
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lease apartments to qualified applicants and maintain high occupancy rates through effective sales techniques and community outreach
- Process application and follow company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws related to leasing apartments
- Greet and assist prospective residents, describe apartment and community benefits, and set up tours
- Assist with completing applications and verification forms, and obtain credit and other information as needed
- Schedule move-ins and keep in contact with prospective residents throughout the sales process
- Maintain a tour-ready status of apartment homes, common areas, and model units, as applicable
- Assist with new resident move-ins and existing resident maintenance requests, and maintain a list of vacant and rentable apartments and a waiting list for prospective residents.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outgoing, friendly attitude and ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and property management software
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in sales and/or customer service
- Familiarity with Fair Housing laws preferred and with RD 515 preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to leasing apartments
Physical Requirements:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to traverse a variety of properties with stairs and in a variety of weather

This is a direct-hire, full-time position. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Must have current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship. - Experience working in affordable housing programs including one or more of the following: LIHTC, USDA Rural Development, Section 8, HOME a plus.
