The School of Engineering anticipates hiring full and part-time lecturers positions to teach the following courses in Civil & Environmental Engineering for AY 2022-2023:

ENVE 20 Introduction to Environmental Science & Technology
ENVE 130 Meteorology and Air Pollution
ENVE 183 Field Methods in Subsurface Hydrology
ENGR 155 Engineering Economics
ENGR 180 Spatial Analysis
Other courses as needed

In addition to teaching the course(s), the instructor is responsible for creating a syllabus, holding weekly office hours (minimum 2 hours/week), and grading examinations and/or papers. The instructor may also be required to hold discussion sections or supervise a graduate student teaching assistant and/or reader.

This is a limited-term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and appropriate collective bargaining agreement.

Advanced degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering or related field and experience teaching at the college or university level are required.
