We are seeking a Legal Assistant in our Real Estate department for our Minneapolis office. As a valued team member, you will provide legal administrative support in a fast-paced environment to attorneys, paralegals and staff. We are seeking a Legal Assistant in our Real Estate department for our Minneapolis office. In this role, you will:
- Provide legal administrative assistant support to multiple timekeepers which may include partners, associates, and paralegals.
- Perform document production, including creating, revising and editing documents, and finalizing format and style in compliance with appropriate requirements.
- Prepare documents for mailing, emailing, scanning, and faxing.
- Manage files and client contact databases, using strong organizational skills.
- Perform prompt and accurate filing of documents (electronic and hard copy); creation of closing books; creating signature packets for closings.
- Responsible for billing process and other administrative tasks, including client contact.
- Registration and maintenance of attorney’s CLE and memberships.
- Assist other team members with coverage and overflow.
- May be requested to perform other duties not listed above.
What we’re looking for:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 4 years of legal administrative assistant experience.
- Strong aptitude for technology including database management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and Adobe Acrobat, including redactions.
- Ability to exercise good judgement in solving problems, resolving conflict, and maintaining confidential information.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including proper spelling and grammar.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with others in a courteous and professional manner with all levels of personnel.
- Strong customer service focus and skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time and perform well in stressful situations.
- Flexibility with schedule (overtime may be required).
- Excellent attendance.
