ARC Engineers Inc. is seeking applicants for the position of Project Architect. The ideal candidate will be a licensed architect with at least 4 years of experience from standard residential ADU design to additions and residential multifamily projects. The ideal candidate will oversee the architectural department within ARC Engineers, Inc and guide drafters through entire projects directly.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Meet with clients to discuss and determine project scope and client requirements
·Coordinate with the design team to ensure compliance with client objectives, project budget(s), city, state and federal codes
·Produce detailed construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
· Manage project team including client and consultant team from conceptual design through
construction to ensure project objectives are met
·Prepare detailed technical drawings and coordinate with consultant team to produce a complete set of construction documents including details and written specifications for bidding and construction
· Ensure all documents conform to applicable codes and standards including office standards
· Review construction documents for quality control evaluation
·Coordinate and run project meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes
·Maintain project schedule and project budget.
·Maintain continuous contact with the client to provide update on project progress and communicate changes
· Assist in preparing project proposals and amendments as required
·Coordinate with contractor during construction phases of projects, conduct site visits, process
submittals and RFIs during construction
·Coordinate with contractor and project team to resolve issues that may come up during construction
·Liaison with building officials during project permitting and construction phases.
· Strong interpersonal, team-building, leadership, negotiation and problem solving skills
· Strong initiative and motivational skills to operate efficiently with minimal direct supervision
· Strong written, verbal and graphic communication skills
· Detail oriented with strong organizational and planning skills
· Strong knowledge of building codes and in depth understanding of building systems
·Ability to resolve unusually complex management and technical problems
·Ability to manage multi-tasking priorities on an accelerated schedule
· Proven ability to produce a complete set of construction documents including written specifications
·Experience in design and construction of projects
·Experience working directly with clients
·Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office software Education and Experience
Licensed Architect (prefer State of California) with minimum 4 years of experience in the architectural profession in the listed project types. At least 2 years of experience at the Project Architect level required.

Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university and licensure required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $74,500.00 - $95,500.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay
