Job description

We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide care and support to patients. Your presence and services should provide compassionate, knowledgeable, cultural, sensitivity and developmentally appropriate care to people with IDD.

For this role, the nurses are responsible for recognizing patients' symptoms, taking measures within their scope of practice to administer medications, providing other measures for symptom alleviation, and collaborating with other professionals to optimize patients' comfort and families' understanding and adaptation.

The goal is to assist individuals with a disability and/or chronic illness to attain and maintain maximum function. The rehabilitation staff nurse assists clients in adapting to an altered lifestyle, while providing a therapeutic environment for client's and their family's development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and other professionals to plan care.
• Make frequent visits to the patient to evaluate their condition.
• Provide Support and Comfort according to individual patient 's need.
• Work with caregivers to plan and execute excellent patient care.
• Help in administering medication
• Maintain accurate records

Skills

• Proven experience as Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Knowledge of nursing care processes and medication guidelines/ side-effects.
• Committed to safety precautions and high ethical standards
• Sound judgement and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate nature.
• Cool-tempered and patient.
• Emotional/ mental stability and stamina .
• Current CPR certificate.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: Up to $32.00 per hour
