What requirements will be expected as a Restaurant Line Cook/Prep Cook

-You will be expected to wear khaki pants, jeans, or black pants (no sweat pants) and close-toed, non-slip shoes

-You will come to work with a good attitude and be ready to work with the team.

-You complete all back of the house operations including completing prep work, working the line, doing the dishes, taking out trash, opening, and closing routines

-You assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served.

-You will refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties

-You understand and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures

-You stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at the line stations to assure a smooth service period.

-You clean and sanitize workstation area including tables, shelves, fryers, sauté burners, convection oven, and refrigeration equipment

-You store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage

-You take and record temperature of food and food storage areas (refrigerators/freezers)

-You wash, peel, and cut foods to prepare for cooking or serving

-You weigh or measure ingredients

-You use manual or electric appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foods

-You make special dressings and sauces as condiments for sandwiches.

-You use the Standard Recipe Card for preparing all products; does not rely on the memory of oneself or others.
