The Flight Line Officer serves as a technical point of interaction with company. Will provide mechanics with instructions and perform Quality Assurance on work completed by Flight Line Mechanics. 1st shift position, but able to check on 2nd shift. Weekend call coverage every 3rd weekend .
As the Flight Line Officer, you will work a two-shift rotating position focused on building the relationship between client and all levels of the end customer (Boeing manufacturing organization). This position will support the 1st shift.
Key Accountabilities:
- Supporting day-to-day activity of the flight Line mechanics and production delivery, ensuring the engines do not cause aircraft delivery delays
- Collecting information to support the Derby commercial team to allow them to minimize expenditures
- Coordinating the detailed reporting to Client for all issues reported by end customer (Boeing) on client’s supplied engine hardware
- Ensuring our inventory held in support of the Boeing production is at the minimum level for support
- Required to be available for Service Support on a 24-hour basis, including weekends and holidays
- Must be open to travel up to 5-10% domestically as Covid-19 allows
Basic Requirements:
- Associate degree with 3+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance with A&P certificate, OR
- Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance with A&P certificate, OR
- Master's degree with A&P certificate, OR
- JD/PhD with A&P certificate, OR
• 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance in lieu of a degree with A&P certificate
- In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience supporting an airline customer or aircraft manufacturer
- Experience writing reports and maintaining records utilizing Microsoft Office tools
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- No nights
- No weekends
