Job description

Under the direction of the Kill and Pick supervisor, the Live Hanger is responsible for hanging the turkeys on the shackle by the legs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Unload trucks by hanging turkeys on shackle by legs.

2. Handle turkeys in proper manner without damaging.

3. Retrieve loose turkeys in the hanging bay.

4. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1. Demonstrated ability to work well with others.

2. Self-motivated; ability to function without continuous supervision.

3. Ability to lift and properly move at least 60 lbs.

4. Ability to exercise good judgment.

5. Ability to work safely and report safety hazards.

6. Ability to stand on hard surface for long periods of time.

7. Ability to work efficiently with line speeds.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb and reach.

2. Considerable visual and physical effort.

3. Experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.25 per hour
