Job Information

The Logistics Manager position will provide essential support and leadership in the planning, execution, and compliance of inbound and outbound shipments for the Company while meeting safety, regulatory, cost and schedule requirements. A most successful Logistics Manager will have extensive logistics industry knowledge, compliances, Import/export acumen, strong project management skills, and is a Critical thinker and problem-solver. They thrive in fast-paced environments while delivering quality work on tight deadlines.

Role & Responsibility

  • Provide global import/export expertise for all areas of the company’s operations across all modes of transport including HAZMAT oversized cargo.

  • Manage and ensure robust logistics compliances program.

  • Responsible for reviewing/creating customs documents, Bill of Lading, quoting, and award of transport service contracts to ensure on-time supply and cost objectives.

  • Partner with and manage the performance of freight forwarders, customs brokers, trucking companies, and others to meet objectives

  • Collaborate & communicate cross-functionally with SCM, manufacturing, finance on schedules and strategies both upstream and downstream to ensure on-time delivery and revenue recognition of our products.

  • Lead Services agreement negotiations and with logistics services providers for successfully support of our operations

  • Maintain existing and recommend new revised logistics policies and standard work and ensure continued compliance to laws and regulations as well as coordinate the proper certifications and trainings as required

  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines, while setting and maintaining clear expectations with service providers.

  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members and service providers.

Job Requirement - Education & Experience

  • BA/BS degree with 5+ years of experience within a warehouse/logistics function as part of a manufacturing environment strongly preferred

  • Experience and knowledge of ocean freight and Import/Export regulations (including HAZMAT oversized cargo)

  • Relationship management of key service providers, with strong project management skills

  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles and practices

  • Minimize supply disruptions

  • Logistics Compliance programs.

  • Capable of working independently, with excellent communication and follow-up

  • Ability to support, develop and motivate others

  • Analytical and diligent in abilities

  • Proficient with MS Office software
