Responsibilities:
What You'll Do
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions as a Nurse working in a provider’s office.

The successful candidate will be able to:
  • Under the supervision of the Clinical Coordinator and/or Director of Clinical Operations, screen, interview, counsel and provide direct patient care. Document all clinical observations, findings, and services provided in the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR). Report all abnormal observations and findings to the appropriate medical provider in a timely manner verbally or via skype.
  • Obtain and document all vital signs including height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, respiration, pulse, pain assessment, body mass index (BMI), and last menstrual period (LMP). Assist patients in completing assessment forms including, but not limited to, Consents, Depression (PHQ), Functional Assessment and Patient Education Tool, as per Center protocols.
  • Administer medications and treatments, and fulfilling specific orders designated by the practitioners (immunizations, PPD, Inhalation Treatments, etc.) according to nursing standard and Center protocols.
  • Administer and appropriately document the following tests and procedures as ordered by providers including but not limited to: EKGs, CLIA waived Testing and Venipuncture /obtaining Labs Specimens. Assist with examinations and procedures (i.e. colposcopy, pelvic exam, urinary catheterization, endometrial biopsies, LEEP, IUD insertions, etc.), as needed and as per national standards and Center protocols.
  • Conduct patient education and demonstrate proper use of assisted devices including walkers, canes and crutches; escorting patients when necessary.
  • Responsible for retrieving appropriate laboratory, diagnostic and radiology reports as requested.
  • Assist in transporting paperwork, and other materials between sites when appropriate.
  • Review Rx, Results and Office voicemail folders daily and the, Nurse/ physician pools, daily for tasks, follow-ups as assigned, send Urgent Lab Recall and Missed Appointment letters, as required.
  • Responsible for notifying Clinical Coordinator of supply and medication shortages in a timely manner for ordering and replenishment of supplies.

Qualifications:
What You'll Bring
  • Graduate of Accredited Nursing School Program
  • 1 year experience working as a nurse
  • NJ LPN license required
  • BLS certification required
  • Previous experience in Nursing with both Adult and Pediatric patients
  • Ability to multitask, can work in a fast-paced clinical environment, can engage patients, peers, and supervisors in a dedicated, comforting, respectful and effective way and has the ability to adapt to change.
  • Working experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software.
  • Basic skills in a Microsoft environment: MS Outlook, Word and Excel
