The Production Department is looking to fill the role of Injection Molding Operator in their Cambridge, Ohio facility. This position is responsible for overseeing various responsibilities within the injection molding process at individual presses while meeting or exceeding safety, quality and production standards.

The Cambridge site is one of the primary manufacturing sites for IPL’s Large Format and Retail Packaging (LF&R) business in the United States. LF&R is a growing segment, with annual revenue of approximately $200m and significant growth potential, and is part of the Environmental, Returnable and Industrial Solutions (ERIS) Division of IPL.

Position Title: Injection Molding Operator

Location: Cambridge, Ohio

Essential experience and skills:

• Company policies and procedures, giving priority attention to safety regulations
• Ability to review and understand work orders, following or exceeding all safety, quality, and production standards
• Complete production, inspection, and scrap paperwork daily
• Ability to perform routine functions including stacking, trimming, assembling/attaching handles, inserting gaskets, lid assembly, applying labels or other requirements as required by the work instructions while maintaining a work pace that meets the requirement of the cycle times
• Ability to operate pallet jack
• Ability to assist new operators in learning policies and procedures
• Report any discrepancies or concerns to Shift Supervisors, Quality Control or Management.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend written materials, and perform basic math functions required
• Experience working in manufacturing environment not required, but is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Perform other related duties as assigned

The successful candidate will:

• Be responsible for knowing and following all PPE and Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure quality, cleanliness and quantity of finished product packed into cartons or bulk packs
• Keep work area neat and clean
• Care for and maintain work tools and safety equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner
• Report any safety concerns
• Proactively participate in any housekeeping and/or process improvement programs
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
• Able to bend, twist, pivot, squat, kneel, carry, and climb
• Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the Food Safety Systems
