Job description

Position Summary: Responsible for set-up and operation of production machinery and the manufacture of products according to manufacturing specifications. The main functions are lathe/milling, production maintenance, in-process inspection, blueprint reading, teamwork.

Essential Functions:

• Lathe/Milling Machine Operation: Ensure necessary tooling/cutters/etc. are on-hand prior to production. Set up and run production on CNC lathes and mills. Make adjustments. Troubleshoot production jobs.
• In-process Inspection: Perform in-process inspection of parts using quality control inspection tools (calipers, comparators, gages, etc.). Follow applicable procedures.
• Program maintenance: Make minor program changes (offset, adjustments, etc.).
• Production maintenance: Separation and containment of precious metals.
• Routine/preventive maintenance and housecleaning of the shop area.
• Blueprint Reading: Able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Teamwork: Follow written/verbal instructions from supervisors. Able to work as a team player.
• Machine shop equipment operation.
• Basic math & measuring.
• Various duties as assigned.

Pay based on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
