Kent Precision Foods Group, a member of the Kent Corporation family of companies has an excellent opportunity to join their team as a Maintenance Mechanic - Dry Blend Manufacturing responsible for making sure all packaging equipment and machinery is running properly!
Responsibilities:
- Routine installations, repairs and replacement of equipment in all areas of operations.
- Well versed with all production machinery including Hayssen baggers, Bartelt, HMC form fill seal pouchers, auger fillers, cappers, cartoners, Tronix labelers, Videojet printers, Bellmark printers, and ribbon mixers
- Fabricating/Welding/Grinding
- Basic Plumbing Skills
- Basic Electrical Skills
- Pneumatics
- Basic Machining Skills
- Ability to read blue prints and basic schematics
- Ability to safely use all shop equipment
- Assists in maintaining and accurate and organized parts inventory
- Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs
- Ability to create and complete work orders in a computer system
- Involved in and follow preventative maintenance activities on a daily basis
- Works on maintaining equipment to reduce or eliminate breakdowns
- Serves as a teacher to mechanics at all levels
- Serves as backup for other mechanics as necessary
- Focuses on continuous improvement and root-cause problem solving
Job Requirements
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including above head and below the waist for 50% or more of shift.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Must be able to work at line speed with the ability to make coordinated hand and finger movements.
