Title: Maintenance Mechanic- Day Shift
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: St. Peters, MO

Job Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic will conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance services.
Schedule: The full-time Maintenance Mechanics work 12-hour rotating shifts. Day shift schedule is 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM.
Compensation: The starting rate for this role is up to $35.25.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for following procedures to ensure safety, quality and equipment uptime.
• Install, maintain and repair single and multi-stage pumps, motors, drives, bearings and pipe systems
• Replace bearings on equipment, remove and install gear boxes
• Fit pipes, conduct electrical repair, fabricate equipment
• Work on and troubleshoot 480v/220 volt single phase, 3phase, 120 volt, 24 volt controls, VFD controllers, overloads, contactors, circuit breakers, limit switches, conveyors, etc.
• Perform hydraulic cylinder repairs/replacement including lines and valves as needed
• Light MIG and TIG welding
• Operate shop equipment and basic hand tools as needed, such as: band saw, mill, lath, drill press
• Accurate documentation including CMMS
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
• Keep equipment and work area clean, safe and organized
• Report on issues, and work performed
• Additional responsibilities as required by management

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required
• Related Certification, technical school strongly desired
• 2-4 years electrical, plant maintenance, and millwright experience preferred
• Ability to read/interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Structure welding (stick / SMAW welding) training and experience a plus
• Ability to work with single and 3phase power
• Ability to work on 480 VFD controllers
• Ability to wear a respirator and remain clean shaven
• Computer skills, able to use MS Word, MS Excel, Internet, CMMS

• Must be able to wear various types of respirators.
• Ability to operate a forklift.

The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and confined spaces and is occasionally exposed to chemicals, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
