Build a better future as a Maintenance Mechanic III for our vegetable oil refinery in Richmond, CA.
Hourly Rate of Pay; $32.27
No day is the same but typical duties include
- Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, machine, or piece of equipment.
- Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, or bridges.
- Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
- Inspect parts for surface defects.
- Analyze and record test results and prepare written testing documentation.
- Verify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot, repair, or replace hydraulic or pneumatic assemblies, or systems to meet operational specifications or tolerances.
- Oversee the installation of equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
- Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
- Monitor information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
- Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Strong problem solving and math skills
- Strong equipment troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), time management and organizational skills
- 1-3 years in related maintenance experience in oil, chemical, pharmaceutical or process manufacturing facility, or a related technical degree.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
- Experience performing routine maintenance.
- Strong organizational and follow up skills.
- Professional presentation and attitude.
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
- Strong time management skills.
