Inspector/Quality Control
Job Description:
This position is responsible for leading and managing all personnel assigned to the inspection department. Chief Inspector ensures all systems and procedures result in a quality product within manufacturer specifications and FAA guidelines/regulations. Safety is top priority.
Essential Job Functions:
✈ Responsible for direction, planning and layout of the details for inspection standards, methods, and procedures to be used by the company’s GOM in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer’s specifications
✈ Ensure all logbooks, SB and AD research is accomplished prior to the completion of the inspection and to provide the accurate information to the lead technician if the SB or AD is applicable.
✈ Oversee the manuals, procedures, and ensure the maintenance department is in compliance with
FAR all regulations
✈ Open work orders and assemble work packages based on current due items in the tracking program. Review completed work orders to ensure that all inspections have been properly performed on all completed work and that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms
(8130s) used by the company were properly executed prior to releasing the product for return to service.
✈ Assure compliance with the company GOM
✈ Determine technical data on all airframe and components are secured and kept current with latest revisions.
✈ Responsible to follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations
✈ Collaborate with other departments, team members, and customers in a positive and professional manner
✈ File reports (135.415/135.417) on serious failures, malfunctions, or defects in a timely and accurate manner.
✈ Conduct quality audits of vendor documents to ensure the integrity of their quality systems and conduct in-process inspections when required.
✈ Implement, maintain, and enforce the processes and procedures to ensure all receiving, preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections of articles undergoing maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alteration are performed in accordance with the applicable data.
✈ Perform periodic review of all calibrated precision test equipment used by the company and mechanics that have their own precision equipment.
✈ Prepare Major Repair and Alteration forms, FAA Field Approvals, 8130-3 forms, POH/AFM revisions, POH supplements, weight and balance revisions, Instructions for Continued
Airworthiness, and other required paperwork, as necessary
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
