Maintenance Repair Worker 2
(2300006T)The mission of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is to provide statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery system that is effective and valued by all Ohioans.
Under general supervision, a Maintenance Repair Worker 2 provides maintenance preventative and emergency repairs to TVBH facilities to support patient care
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Semi-Skilled and Skilled Maintenance:
Operates machine tools & welding equipment in making repairs to metal parts & equipment
Assists Carpenter with carpentry projects
Updates Work Order System with completed work orders
Repairs lighting and minor electrical issues.
Repairs plumbing lines and facilities as directed
Assists with repairing replacing lock systems for the safety and security of the hospital
Provides grounds coverage as needed for snow removal, etc.
Escorts contractors to work assignments
Performs needed repairs in the patient care area for safety of patients and staff
Will be scheduled to work weekends and overtime due to hospital needs.

Valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code.

Unusual working conditions:
May work weekends and holidays; may be exposed to communicable diseases and unpredictable patient behavior.
All employees of TVBH are required, as a condition of their continued employment, to maintain annual flu vaccinations or have an approved exemption on file. If you are selected to fill this position, you will need to provide your vaccination information or seek approval for an exemption.
The final candidate selected for the position will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination in accordance with federal regulation Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Final Interim Rule 2021-23831 and 42 CFR 483.80 and 42 CFR 483.430(f), State of Ohio Administrative Policy HR-52, and OhioMHAS Policy HR-03.
The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check and urinalysis.
