ArtsQuest is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor that will play a vital role in supervising all the moving parts that support the upkeep of facilities, buildings, and grounds of ArtsQuest.

What you’ll do

With your excellent leadership skills and maintenance planning expertise, you will help to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in all building locations, including the ArtsQuest Center, Banana Factory, Bethlehem Visitors Center, Levitt and Mack Truck Stop, the Turn and Grind, along with the campus, grounds, and parking lots associated with each. Day to day, you’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks in the following areas:

Facilities Maintenance and Upkeep:

· Plan, prioritize, and perform a variety of work in the maintenance, repair and minor upkeep of the buildings and its premises, including filter maintenance, light fixture maintenance and minor cleaning

· Oversee contracted custodial services, identify contract violations and service problems, and optimize cost savings

· Track and maintain all monthly checklists for building maintenance

· Monitor our Maintenance Help Desk by responding and resolving all maintenance requests

· Serve as crew leader for all major upkeep projects

Administration and Supervision:

· Supervise facilities and housekeeping staff by providing training, direction, and support

· Monitor appropriate facility and housekeeping staffing levels to ensure efficient utilization of staff

· Attend weekly BEO meetings and schedule all HVAC and cleaning needs based on event and operational schedules at each building

· Order and maintain adequate equipment and supply inventory and equipment for custodial and maintenance staff

· Utilize web-based scheduling and timekeeping programs to schedule and track hours and payroll expenses and code to the appropriate job codes

What you need to thrive in this role

· High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in related field a plus

· 1-3 years of prior work experience in maintenance and repair required. Prior supervision of semi-skilled staff preferred

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, along with the ability to travel to various building locations using reliable transportation

· Excellent knowledge of the proper planning & maintenance techniques, tools, and equipment used in building maintenance and repair work

· Excellent interpersonal communication skills in interacting professionally with different levels of staff, as well as staying calm and collected in emergency situations

· Computer and phone with proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Other maintenance-related, ticketing system programs a plus

· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 to 100 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation

· Adaptability and flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
