Key Job Elements:
Duties and responsibilities (Note: duties/qualifications required will depend on assigned division)
- Supervises a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors; schedules and oversees all maintenancerelated work;
- Ensures all maintenance operations are done within company policies and in accordance with OSHA
guidelines;
- Ensures facility satisfies all industry regulations;
- Manages budget for maintenance operations; forecasts, orders, and negotiates prices for spare parts
inventory by developing and implementing a proactive maintenance program;
- Seeks out and identifies new methods, tools, and assets for improving productivity and cutting costs;
- Coordinate’s completion of complex repair projects;
- Keeps track of ongoing maintenance work, troubleshoots issues, and keeps teams on track;
- Maintains knowledge of changing technologies and resources;
- Interviews, hires, manages, and takes care of other HR-related duties for maintenance staff;
- Prepares and executes capital projects as necessary, including utility modifications (domestic water, fire
water protection pump system), sewers (sanitary, storm, industrial waste), electrical power feed, etc.;
- Provides upkeep and continuous improvement for the facility;
- Manages all facility maintenance, including reactive repairs, employee requests, and preventative
maintenance per schedule;
- Provides oversight of contracted support services: housekeeping, grounds and landscaping, snow
removal, elevator support, vehicle maintenance, etc.;
- Performs additional job-related duties as assigned.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairing of manufacturing equipment;
- Maintain preventative maintenance program for manufacturing facility, including machining centers, presses, overhead cranes, hoists, and mobile equipment;
- Electrical maintenance and repair of PLC and CNC controls;
- Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, and controls;
- Facility repair and maintenance including HVAC;
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair of three phase (up to 480 volts) electrical systems;
- Support safety initiatives and continuous improvement programs;
- Supervise 8-10 non-exempt maintenance mechanics;
- Procurement of maintenance supplies, repair parts, and service calls as needed;
- Primarily day shift work with off support as needed to address unplanned maintenance issues.

Qualifications and Experience:
- 5-7+ years of experience working in a team environment, supervising and training technicians, overseeing
repairs, managing budgets, inventory control, and scheduling day-to-day activities;
- Familiarity and current knowledge of NFPA standards and building codes;
- Ability to work together in a team environment; ability to manage a diverse workforce;
- Organizational/people skills; understanding of scheduling and manpower planning; negotiation/analytical
skills; ability to see the big picture;
- Computer skills, including proficiency with Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Basic fabrication skills;
- Basic wiring knowledge.
