POSITION SUMMARY:

Seeking experienced Maintenance Technician to keep production machines in optimal operating condition. Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment; Equipment/machinery includes high speed automated packaging lines with tablet presses and cartoners, mixers, blenders and various other production equipment. Ideal candidate will have both mechanical and electronic trouble shooting skills. Perform all work in adherence to safety precautions, regulations and Good Manufacturing practices (cGMP).

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Dismantle, repair and assemble a variety of machinery and equipment.
• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical and/or mechanical problems on production equipment; including programming changes to PLC controllers.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to schedule.
• Work with Staff Engineer to design and implement changes to enhance production.
• Install electrical fixtures, services and telecommunication hook ups.
• Write logic programs for automated integration of production components.
• Procure materials and parts necessary to make machine repairs.
• Ensure machines guards and safety interlocks are operating properly.
• Fabricate, construct, and install machinery, equipment and/or replacement parts by performing applicable operations such as bending, cutting, burning, welding, drilling, pipe threading, tapping, machining, filing, forming, grinding, rigging, electrical testing, etc.
• Observe and practice all safety precautions and regulations in performing duties as well as maintain good housekeeping.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 5 years experience machine maintenance or industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical principles and good working knowledge of electrical principles
• Proficient mechanical skills, such as working knowledge of shop equipment (lathes, mills, etc.).
• Ability to read, understand and fabricate parts from blueprints and sketches; ability to read and understand electrical and/or electronic blueprints highly desired.
• Working knowledge of shop measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.
• Proven strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive problem solver
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other plant personnel
• High School diploma (or equivalent) required; technical diploma, certificate or degree preferred

Pay rate commensurate with experience.
