GLAZE LINE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

FULL-TIME

Florim USA is looking for a Glaze Line Maintenance Technician for NIGHT SHIFT Position in the Clarksville, TN area.

REQUIREMENTS OF GLAZE LINE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Qualified candidates will have a one year certificate from college or technical school

Minimum of one year of related experience

RESPONSIBILITIES OF GLAZE LINE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

The Glaze Line Maintenance Technician installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and equipment such as engines, motors, and conveyor systems by performing the following duties:

• Observes mechanical and electrical devices in operation, listens to their sounds, feels the temperature or other sensible methods to locate causes of trouble. Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Starts devices to test their performance and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction.
• Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and/or repair parts.
• Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
• Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
• Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
• Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.
• Pushes buttons and presses keys on robot controller, teach pendant, and programmable controller to program automated machinery, such as robots, to operate automated machinery, to test for malfunctions, and to verify repairs.
• Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
• Ensures that the plant workplace is safe at all times and complies with Florim and OSHA safety standards.
• Adheres to all safety regulations, complete all safety training and wear required safety equipment per related safety SOP's.

Beginning pay $22/hr

Night Shift Differential $3.00/hr
