POSITION SUMMARY
The role supports U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Specifically, to assist HUD with the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Single Family Housing (SFH), Policy Handbook and related training. The primary goal is to provide analysis and program support to these teams.
The SFH Handbook was created to provide SFH with a comprehensive consolidated policy guide. FHA conveys policy and guidance on its insurance programs to industry partners via workshops, conferences, policy documents, teleconferences, handbooks, and guides. FHA provides SFH Handbook training modules for industry partners. FHA industry partners are individuals and entities involved in different sectors of the housing market. The industry partners include FHA-approved lenders, appraisers, homebuyers, homeowners, inspectors, counseling agencies, local governments, homebuilders, non-profit agencies, brokers, and real estate agents. The first completed section of the SFH Handbook was published on September 30, 2014. Since the initial publication, several other key sections have been completed with several more in various stages of development. Currently SFH clears new and updated handbook sections using the Business Process Automation tool, which is maintained with the SharePoint site.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and track actual progress to detailed work plans and other tracking tools.
- Communicate project changes and milestone delays/risks to the COR, sCOR, PM and FHA leadership.
- Develop the cycle for each task and updates the timelines regularly and record any changes.
- Maintain an overall project management document/database that is accessible by FHA. This document/database shall include a schedule of all on-going work streams, meetings, deliverables, processes, resources, contact information and documentation of this project.
- Ensure version control of all handbook documents.
- Maintain an action item/issues log that will detail all challenges in completing tasks.
- Create presentation reports and guides to support the handbook activities.
- Continually apply project management principles, tools, and best practices for the improvement of the project.
- Must interact, communicate, and present ideas on a daily basis with a variety of personalities
- Works on multiple projects simultaneously
- Plans and meets project and production deadlines by prioritizing workload and adapting to changing conditions.
- Remains up-to-date with industry leading software and technologies.
- Report to company ownership and leaders at EPA
- This position performs additional duties as assigned, given adequate guidance and resources.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE
- Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field and 5 years. This can be a combination of work history and education
- Demonstrated specialized experience working in a technical environment, especially EPA related or adjacent is a major plus
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Products including older and new versions (e.g., Microsoft Office 2007 (2011/13))
- Fluency in Microsoft Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, and Slides)
- Strong project and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others individually, and as part of a team
- Must be highly detail-oriented and organized
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines
- Must demonstrate and maintain a strong work ethic and a good demeanor toward work
- Full fluency in English
- A clearance is NOT required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates primarily remotely but will require visits to various HUD offices/centers. See travel information in the Travel section.This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is largely a sedentary role.
TIMELINE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Estimated Start Date is December 6, 2021. The normal on-site full-time work schedule will consist of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. local time. Work schedule may vary based on the office/center in need of support.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
All salary and benefits will be discussed during interviews. Salary will be based on commensurate experience. Only full time employees are eligible for benefits programs.
TRAVEL
Travel will be required in certain cases to appear at on-site DC HUD offices.
15% of total time or less and as business requires. Limited travel may also be required to attend professional trainings and/or certifications.
OTHER
All offers of employment are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check. Background checks will be conducted on all final candidates and on all employees who are promoted, as deemed necessary.

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
