Sony Electronics is seeking a Business Development Manager – Volumetric Capture Solution (Fixed Term) based in San Diego. This individual will identify, secure and grow new targeted accounts for Sony’s Volumetric Capture Solution for 3D modeling workflow of xR contents creation and identify two target customer per quarter. The ideal candidate exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. They network with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
Additional responsibilities include:

Targeting market segment such as Enterprise & Educational Training, 3D Contents Creation for research institute and film schools, and any new requirement for affordable 3D capture system

Understanding customer requirement and competition (Microsoft, Canon, 4D views, 8i ) to create new business opportunities.

Taking lead in customer requests for quotes (RFQ's), business proposals, negotiate term sheets and final contracts.

Working closely with US Local Engineering team and Product Planning team in Japan to create new product enhancements for targeted customers.

Having wide-ranging experience, using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

Working on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Determining methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel.(Team lead, Engineering group)
Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of related experience in xR related industry.
Expected Duration of Assignment: 12 months (Apr-Mar)
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $101,007.00 - $134,675.00. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
