Position Summary

This role is responsible for leading the processes for the strategy development of MRO procurement in support of the $5.5 billion in capital and MRO spends forecasted for the McCain Foods company through fiscathe l year 2025. The person will develop and execute purchasing strategies and gain commitment from key stakeholders, particularly in Engineering and the Supply Chain. Develop global MRO Category Strategies with stakeholder alignment, and oversee / lead regional, and local implementation. Conducts contract negotiation, requests for proposals, and leads supplier relationship development including monitoring performance versus expectations. Will also be required to recommend, align and implement business awards.

Bring leadership on market knowledge, influencing business needs and commercial results to the company. It would be preferred to have experience in:

• Capital & MRO procurement practices supply base
• Cost factors of capital and MRO
• Relevant commercial markets

Communications and Interactions – The person will manage multiple internal and external organizational relationships. They will be a key contributor and executer of the overall supplier relationship strategy for spend area, ensuring proper commercial treatment of suppliers by reinforcing policy, ethics, and our strategic approach with suppliers and with other company departments. The person will need to engage the Global Engineering and maintenance organizations in the development and execution of sourcing strategies to support the global and regional capital plans.

Domestic and international travel will be required, 25 - 50% of time. There are also some international meetings/conference calls that will be outside traditional work hours.

Responsibilities

• Drive cost cost-focusedtegy for the MRO spend area

• Develop MRO Sourcing / Procurement strategies on a global level
• Contribute and direct execution of the sourcing strategy for delivery of the capital and MRO plans
• Delivery of cost avoidance

• Conduct supplier relationship program for the relative markets to deliver significant value for McCain Foods
• Engage the Global Maintenance organization in development of MRO strategies and supplier relationship management
• Ensure company purchases in the spend pool comply with company internal controls requirements
• Build organization capability through procurement core skills coaching and training

Qualifications

• Education – Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or Engineering. Master’s degree is an asset.
• Minimum 5 - 10 years’ procurement experience, preferably with experience in capital and MRO spend areas.
