Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring for a Non-invasive Cardiology Manager to work at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, in Norfolk, Virginia

Hours/Shift:

Full-time, Dayshift with rotating call time.

Department/Position Overview:

Our level one trauma center is looking for an experienced leader to manage our Echo, Non-Invasive, Arrythmia and other departments as needed. Candidates with high level leadership such as Team Coordinator or above are preferred. This position will report directly to the department director and have 3 direct reports with 80 to 90 staff members.

Manager is responsible and accountable for the daily operations of Echo Noninvasive department for Sentara Norfolk General.

Models and leads the professional practice consistent with organizational goals of safety, customer satisfaction, quality, and access for the department.

Supervises staff, provides clinical/technical expertise, engages in process improvements and committee work.

Assists in the fiscal budgeting, and management process for the department including billing/revenue management, payroll, and purchasing and supply cost management.

Ensures compliance with organizational and ambulatory care policies, regulations and standards of care and practice and competency of clinical and non-clinical staff. Performs work assignments as needed to provide coverage and to mentor or assist staff.

Interviews, hires, and develops team members with the goal of developing a highly effective work team. Engages in talent retention strategies for the areas of responsibility.

Requires either Nuclear or Echo Tech certification, active and valid. (ARRT or CNMT) BLS Certification

A total of 5 years Healthcare and 7 years Supervisory experience may be accepted in lieu of the bachelor’s level degree.
