JOB SUMMARY:
Implement assigned programming and assure quality patient care. Provide supervision to clinical staff and integrate/coordinate medical team with residential team. Assure the professional development of clinical staff and the progress of patients within the treatment system. Promote intradepartmental communication and coordination. Assures adherence to state statutes and rules, CARF standards, and federal regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Positively represents the organization and promotes Rimrock’s Mission to the community.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
- Assure quality patient care through supporting staff by training, staffing and direct supervision.
- Manage referral sources for all programs in order to strengthen community relationships as well as make appropriate, client-centered recommendations.
- Monitor, supervise and manage all assigned programs.
- Conduct weekly team staffings, as assigned.
- Hold quarterly departmental meetings with Adult Residential staff to assure communication/liaison and maintain minutes.
- Work with Chief Clinical Officer to evaluate staff performance including direct observation of therapy and develop staff training plans.
- Assure quality of patient care and compliance with all standards and report results/problems to Chief Clinical Officer.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring and evaluating staff.
- Supervise patient care planning and lead team meetings, case conferences and staffings.
- Assure liaison/communication with referral sources regarding admission, patient progress, discharge planning and employer conferences.
- Serve on assigned organizational committees, including Safety and Quality Improvement.
- Provide interventions patients who are at risk for leaving treatment early.
- Provide on-call coverage as scheduled.
- Organizes clinical programs and services to meet short-term and long-range strategic goals.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of budget with the Chief Financial Officer and stay within the approved budget.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related behavioral health field. Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in a recognized healthcare facility. Specialized training in chemical dependency delivery services.
CERTIFICATE OR LICENSE: Must be licensed in the State of Montana as an LAC, additional mental health license preferred. Current CPR training and First Aid.
SKILLS: Knowledge and understanding of current nursing theory and practice and ability to perform accordingly under supervision of Chief Clinical Officer; understanding of Rimrock’s policies related to patient care; knowledge of limitations in clinical practice and ability to request assistance of supervisor when needed; ability to establish appropriate rapport with chemically dependent patients; understanding of chemical dependency therapy process and ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team. Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is indoors in an office environment with moderate noise. Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of up to 25 pounds, walking and stooping is required. A typical workday involves sitting, frequent use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing, approximately 70% of the time. Approximately 30% or less of the time is spent standing. Normal vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATIONS: Involves everyday risk or discomfort requiring normal safety precautions in an office setting, meeting room and patient care areas. Work may involve mental and emotional stress. Some driving required. Will work primarily at main facility and adult off-site facilities.
