We have a career opportunity for a Manager of Organizational Development and Training to join our team!

The Manager of Organizational Development and Training will design, plan, and implement strategies and solutions to support the company's strategic goals, advance the organization's culture, optimize workforce development, and build leadership capacity to meet current and future business needs. Position duties include: collaborating with senior management to identify and drive transformational initiatives that propel the organization's mission, vision, values and promote diversity and growth; guiding employee communications and key messaging to promote a unified culture; leading and enhancing the strategic workforce planning process to ensure future talent needs are met; planning and executing a compelling leadership development strategy to enhance the development and retention of strong leadership talent; providing coaching to develop successors and build leadership bench strength; and strategizing and delivering change management initiatives to support a growing organization. The incumbent will rely on extensive experience, personal relationship building and judgment to consult with business leaders, strategic partners and execute processes that further develop the organization and its employees.



Detailed Description


Key Responsibilities & Expectations:
  • Prioritize needs, develop and implement multi-year plan for company-wide organizational development (OD) strategies and initiatives critical to the advancement Citizens culture and strategic priorities
  • Design, develop and deliver internal training and development curriculum to maximize learning and oversee administration and performance of the learning management system
  • Lead the annual strategic workforce planning process to expand talent development and identify existing and future talent needs
  • Provide leadership and oversight of OD processes, initiatives and programs
  • Partner with Human Resource (HR) leaders and Corporate Affairs to ensure effective employee communications and messaging that encourages, engages, and aligns training goals and employee development priorities with our company culture
  • Provide support and/or coaching to current and future leaders
  • Manage departmental budget and assess the return-on-investment effectiveness of learning and OD initiatives


Job Requirements


Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, preferably in Management, HR, Organizational Development, or equivalent experience
  • At least five years of leadership experience with proven expertise in organizational learning, employee development and training
  • Must have a sound knowledge of adult learning/organizational development principles and various training techniques
  • Working knowledge of learning management systems, i.e., SABA and/or Cornerstone
  • Hold curriculum development and training certifications
  • Project management skills and proven experience leading strategic culture change
  • Strong written and visual communications delivering presentation and facilitating group discussions
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree preferred
  • HR leadership experience is a plus
  • Hold CPTD, SPHR, PHR and/or Project Management certifications
  • Training certifications, i.e, DiSC, Leadership Challenge, Compass, Situational Leadership, etc.
  • Creative communications and design capabilities, such as instructional design or marketing
  • Ability to interact effectively with management and staff at all levels
  • Demonstrated competence to successfully lead and manage complex projects
  • Proven ability to influence organizational change
