We are currently in need of a Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to the assembly process improvement of our magnetic sensors and probes. Their role will include refining the assembly process, updating assembly drawings, determining how and when to do quality control tests and checks during the assembly process, and finding and reducing failure points. This may include the design of fixturing to make the assembly process easier. We are an established Westerville-based global leader in temperature and magnetic measurement instrumentation serving science and industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing of existing product lines; identify problems and drive to resolution
  • Establish and maintain good communication between manufacturing and engineering teams
  • Execute projects for sustaining engineering and new or improved products and processes
  • Infuse design for manufacturability into design; develop methods that are safe, efficient, reproducible
  • Lead manufacturing readiness assessment and manufacturing execution during pilot run
  • Create, release, and maintain product and process documentation
  • Identify and initiate continuous improvement project opportunities including cost/benefit analyses
  • Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Sales, Services, Procurement and Marketing

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering with experience in electronic instrumentation preferred
  • Basic knowledge of software (Python or C) to gather and analyze data
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, specifications and reports
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. manually on a non-repetitive basis
