Description:Reports to: President / General Manager
Summary: Prepares cost estimates by analyzing proposals and requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Essential Functions:

• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Contributes to team effort by collaborating and supporting the team on projects and customer communication.

Requirements:Competencies and Attributes Needed:

• 3 – 5 years of experience estimating in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read blueprints and understand customer specifications
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a defined attention to detail
• Technology and software proficient; maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data. Excel skills required.
• Continual learner; maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, etc.
• Ability to resolve conflict when needed
• Analytics and negotiation training or experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

• Sit, stand, walk throughout the shop
• Lift at least 25 pounds infrequently

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
