Position Summary:
The Marketing Outreach and Event Coordinator works in accordance with established policies and procedures of the community and/or specific instruction from the Director of Sales & Marketing. Primary responsibilities include providing community relations and the referral inquiries necessary to achieve the community’s sales and move-in goals and coordinating and executing events. Includes direct contact with medical and all business professionals in the surrounding area in order to generate referral activity and educate them on all the community offers. Will also work with internal team and outside vendors to effectively execute events.
Position Schedule: Full time – Monday through Friday.

Salary: Between $55,000-60,000 plus commission!
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for meeting the community’s sales and occupancy levels in accordance with the marketing plan by working in conjunction with the community’s Director of Sales & Marketing. Results will be achieved through strategic networking with area professionals, including but not limited to: presentations at the community and the surrounding community at-large, community tours, follow-up telephone calls and appointments to keep the professionals informed.
- Pre-qualify sources of professional referrals to determine their ability to send qualified potential residents to the community. Identify those key decision makers and communicates with those involved in making or influencing the decision about making referrals to the community.
- Create new and services existing relationships with professional and all industry contacts that can refer prospects to the community; including telephone contact, community tours, in-office visits at the professional’s office, etc. All contact with the professional referral sources is accurately documented in the Leads Management System daily.
- Responsible for preparation and implementation of an Action Plan which will detail the planned and actual contacts made with professional referral sources. Schedule sufficient activity to generate the number of referral leads as outlined in the marketing plan. Report activities of planned actions weekly with measurable results and follow up action / next steps planned.
- Participate in local organizations identified as bringing value, by making presentations and joining as a member where appropriate, in order to facilitate a broader knowledge of the industry and of the community’s capabilities.
- Manage community/public relations to include health fairs, screenings, community education programs (CEU’s), and outreach.
- Work in tandem with the Director of Sales & Marketing and other Marketing Team members to help create and execute on site events to engage potential residents. This includes identifying event topics, securing entertainment, and coordinating with dining services and facilities maintenance on food menus, room set up, decor, etc.
- Support other members in the marketing department in direct sales as necessary through giving sales presentations and community tours as needed.
- Keep updated about relevant operational, competitive, and company information, in order to respond effectively to inquiries from contacts and convey community message. Update the Director of Sales & Marketing and Executive Director on competitive information, census and pricing when new information is discovered and assure that all the information is updated in competitive analysis.
- Adhere to LCS marketing guidelines.
- Develop and implement special events and presentations targeted as community education, establishing and maintaining status for the community as the premier provider of senior living.
- Prepare weekly update of actual referral activity on the Action Plan.
- Assist the Director, Marketing Staff and the appropriate corporate staff in the development of collateral materials, press releases and advertising as needed.
- Complete weekly reports along with other community marketing staff members.
