JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State’s Office of Strategic Communications (the University’s central public relations and marketing division) seeks an experienced marketing professional to join its brand strategy team. The successful candidate will bring creative thinking and a partnership mindset to the strategic development, coordination, and execution of University-wide campaigns and digital marketing efforts.
This is a hybrid position that combines remote and on-campus working.

We advance the University by strengthening and protecting the institution’s reputation in regional, national, and international spheres of influence in ways that serve recruitment, resource, and leadership goals.
The Marketing Specialist will:
Use sound strategies to develop, plan, and execute marketing campaigns and other
Assess the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives, optimizing accordingly
Prepare project creative briefs
Develop and maintain a library of digital campaign assets and files
Work collaboratively with University partners on brand alignment, including adherence to campaign and audience goals
Serve as the daily contact for our external media agency, attending regular meetings, keeping campaigns on track, and providing feedback on account administration matters
Create and deliver project presentations for leadership and other stakeholders
Participate in brainstorming to support marketing campaigns and other projects
Plan and schedule workshops and engagement activities
Research and recommend content for brand campaigns, specifically stories to support impact.psu.edu
Write in multiple styles for various channels to meet campaign or project needs
Review and edit marketing materials and content
The successful candidate will:
Have broad integrated marketing and communications knowledge, experience, skills, and interests
Have experience with admissions/enrollment
Be able to multitask and handle multiple priorities
Be well-organized and detail-oriented
Have strong writing, copy editing, and proofreading skills
Education and experience
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus six or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
