Job description
Summary
The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Material Handler is to receive and allocate parts pickable locations within the warehouse. Additional responsibilities are to help crate, expedite and ship outgoing customer orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive production orders and incoming materials using SAP
- Accurately label materials for both incoming and stocking orders
- Distribute parts to various locations using pallet jack or industrial lifts
- Deconstruct and compress boxes, pallets and crates
- Move large items using a forklift
- Maintain inventory in storage lot, keeping it organized and clean
- General housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned by Lead or Manager
Minimal Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to read measuring devices including tape measures and micrometer a plus
- Forklift experience, preferred
- Computer proficiency, including data entry and ability to research information, preferred
- SAP experience, preferred
- Experience working successfully in a team environment is necessary
- Must be detail-oriented and good with numbers and counting
- Effective reading, writing, and verbal communication skills in English, required
Physical Job Requirements:
- Regularly required to walk or stand
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Must be able to withstand extreme temperatures outdoors (heat and cold)
- Must regularly lift or move up to 35 pounds
