Responsibilities

• Individual must possess very strong automotive diagnostic skills (VW / German brand preferred), positive leadership qualities, and great organizational skills.
• This is a unique opportunity for a special individual that has great technical and diagnostic talent.
• Your main duty is to diagnose the vehicles correctly and efficiently. Once the diagnosis is completed, you will diagnose the next vehicle while another technician is repairing the previous vehicle. Your diagnostic expertise is used far more than the physical task of repairing the vehicle.
• Diagnoses and repairs vehicles to specifications, ensuring they are safe to drive by test-driving vehicles, testing components and systems, and using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices.
• Examines vehicles to determine the extent of damage or malfunctions.
• Tears down, repair, replace, and/or rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, linkages, pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
• Disassembles units and inspects parts for wear using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Rewires ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels and repairs manual and automatic transmissions.
• Closely inspect parts like hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, and other items.
• Adequately explains the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Follows Company safety policies and practices and immediately reports all accidents to the Manager/Supervisor.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.
• Follow scheduled hours as needed, defined by your manager.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (Required)
• We are accepting applicants with all types of manufacturer experience
• All levels of qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve is most important
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
