Prestonwood Country Club, Cary NC’s premier private establishment for over 30+ years and proud host and sponsor of the annual SAS Championship, is seeking a * Mechanic* who will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendents to repair and maintain all aspects of the equipment used in the day-to-day operations of the Golf Course.
Job Responsibilities:
- Check equipment on a daily basis for proper cut and sharpen when necessary.
- Repair and maintain all equipment including oil changes, changing tires and any repairs necessary to keep equipment in proper working condition. Inform the Equipment Superintendent of any abnormal expenses, abuse or neglect of equipment.
- To secure smaller equipment, monitor users and check back into storage.
- Monitor all equipment regularly to ensure equipment is operating smoothly, efficiently and safely.
- Keep accurate service and repair records for all equipment.
- Monitor and maintain gasoline, diesel and oil levels and order petroleum products as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Equipment Superintendent
Job requirements:
*Previous Mechanical experience preferred, but not required
**Competitive tiered pay scale ($17 - $19 per hr) based on ability and experience.
This full time year round position.
MUST pass background check, drug test and be eligible to work in the United States.
