We are looking for:

The Mechanical Designer designs, details, documents, and modifies new and existing products utilizing SolidWorks or AutoCad under the direction of an engineer or team member. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and is located in Cranberry Township, PA.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Generate and modify CAD models, drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs) from pre-established guidelines for new and existing products;
• Prepare layouts of machinery or equipment or plan the flow of work;
• Works directly with engineering and manufacturing to resolve mechanical and fabrication issues with new and existing products;
• Works independently or within a team to design and detail mechanical assemblies from general verbal instructions, sketches, or existing models;
• Resolves associated mechanical and fabrication problems in preparing the final product;
• Conduct failure analyses, document results, and recommend corrective actions;
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or CAD (or related field) or five (5)+ years of direct work experience without formal education;
• Position typically expects two (2) + years of direct/relevant experience based on scope of position;
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, procedures and tools within the mechanical design field;
• Experience with 3D modeling and software, preferably SolidWorks;
• General experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to adapt to ever-changing work priorities and environment; ability to multitask;
• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Occasional travel as job requires.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
