Who You Are: The ideal candidate is proactive, values teamwork, and exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills. This person has strong time management skills and the ability to keep all appropriate parties on task and apprised of the project status from start to finish. Other requirements include:

• Bachelors or master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or process technology
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position; preferably in the natural gas industry
• Knowledge of environmental/safety legislation
• Valid US driver’s license to travel to client sites
• Experience with ISAH ERP, Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical information and procedures or governmental regulations
• Proficient in English
• Writes clearly and informatively; Presents numerical data, both verbally and in written form; Effectively writes or presents comprehensive reports; Responds well to questions
• Ability to use mathematics to solve problems
• Displays willingness and timeliness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process

What You’ll Do: The Mechanical Engineer works with a team that includes a Project Manager, Electrical Engineer and Process Engineer to complete jobs from start to finish. The Mechanical Engineer delivers detailed analytical concepts and then backs up those concepts with written justification, taking a project from the conceptual stage through to completion, including budgeting and operational considerations.

Other duties include:

• Works with an international team finding solutions to improve existing installations, both commercial and technical.
• Preparing RFQ’s, contribute to process descriptions and manuals
• Contributes and gives guidance and input for the PFD and P&ID’s to drafter
• Checks and give’s input for the 3D drawings, layout drawings and battery limits
• Selection of equipment, compiling equipment list
• Selecting equipment suppliers, FAT, SAT and OAT testing
• Performing calculations and design preparations of our systems
• Ensuring the quality of the design
• Answering process, mechanical, technical questions of both project management and customers
• Participating in project discussions
• Starting-up and commissioning of (bio) gas systems.
• Perform initial and ongoing design reviews
• Deliver documentation offering a critical analysis and suggestions for correcting errors
• Identify process deficiencies and develop solutions to improve those deficiencies
• Submit a scope of work for each project that includes budgetary numbers and the goal of each project
• Collaborate with Project Managers to develop an accurate accounting of all engineering hours required for various types of internal projects
• Prepare purchase orders in the Isah system
• Drafts reports based on information gathered from systems in the field.
• Works with the DMT ERP system ISAH for Project administration
