Position: Medical Assistant

Campus: Philadelphia, PA 19136

Duration: 3 months contract

Pay Rate: $24/hr.

Shift: 07:00 AM – 03:30 PM

Note: Willfloat to other PA sites if needed

Job Description:

· Performs patient and family education, counseling, and teaching.

· Brings patient into the exam room obtains brief history of complaints, prepares patient for exam, and takes vital signs.

· Performs clerical work consisting of, referrals, scheduling appointments with other physicians and facilities, filling out forms, and answering phones.

· Assists physician with exams and procedures as needed.

· Stock rooms and take care of instruments and autoclave equipment.

· Assists in the orientation of personnel, with emphasis on nursing aspects.

· Gives injections.

· Attends staff meetings and in-services.

· Assumes charge position as required in the absence of supervisory personnel.

· Performs other duties/projects as assigned or required.

Job Requirements:

· Medical Assistant certification

· Updated resume

· Covid Card

· BLS

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $24.00 per hour

Experience:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
