Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated hard working medical assistant to assist with our busy family medicine office and be part of our care team family. Your role is to room patients and perform clinical tasks including but not limited to ordering labs and radiology, answer phone calls and help with phone triage, prior authorizations and other forms, referrals, administering shots, performing EKG and CLIA-waived labs, and performing phlebotomy duties from lab drawing to processing for pick up by our courrier to go to our central lab. Previous experience as a medical assistance in a primary care office would be an advantage. You will have to be able to understand and know how to use an electronic medical record, proficiency with our EMG NextGen is preferred. Ultimately, the medical assistance should be able to help with day-to-day operation to provide exceptional patient care. We are a small one physician and one part time nurse practioner office within Privia Medical Group North Texas - a large independent multi-specialty group.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

• Laboratory experience: 1 year (Required)

• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
