Island Sports Physical Therapy is a therapist owned Physical Therapy practice with eight locations throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Our newest East Setauket practice is currently seeking a professional, people-friendly candidate who is comfortable delivering quality customer service in a fast paced environment. Must be willing to work Saturday mornings, with growth into weekday evenings and into dense patient areas over time.

Job Responsibilities

• Welcome patients by greeting them with a smile, and having them sign in and wait in the reception area
• Manage multi-line phone systems; handle heavy call volume
• Schedule patient appointments in person and over the phone into our EMR system
• Confirm patient appointments when necessary
• Discourage cancellations and facilitate rescheduling cancelled visits when possible
• Maintain patient medical records ensuring compliance with insurance companies
• Collect daily copays and relay information to our billing service
• Enter prescriptions and insurance information, fax notes to doctors
• Verify patient insurance prior to appointment
• Obtain insurance authorization as needed for evaluations and renewals, ensuring reimbursement for our services
• Assist the office manager and therapists as needed

Job Requirements

• Must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office programs
• Previous medical reception experience is preferred but not required
• Must be able to work Saturday mornings
• Wage/Salary is competitive and based upon experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekend availability
